Steamed Soy Bean Paste Shrimp Recipe – Quick & Tasty!

Steamed Soy Bean Paste Shrimp Recipe

[Ingredients]

  • 8 medium size prawn
  • 5 to 6 stalk Spring onions (white part)
  • Chinese parsley (garnish)

[Sauce mixture]

  • 25g soy bean paste*
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic

*Golden Taiwanese Soy Bean Paste: This paste is low in sodium and the beans are very fragrance. Available at Sheng Siong supermarket.


[Directions]

  1. Preheat the steamer over high heat
  2. Partially butterfly the prawns, devein and partially deshell. Clean it under running water.
  3. Place the spring onions on the plate, lay the prawns over and pour in the sauce mixture.
  4. Steam the prawn for about 3 minutes. (Depending on the sizes of the prawns)
  5. Garnish with chinese parsley, serve hot.
